China sourcing agent

Your sourcing agent at the factory.

Kexlo's sourcing service is your sourcing agent in China. Kexlo's own sourcing team finds, vets and quotes manufacturers for your product, arranges samples, and directs production from the quotation you approve to finished goods received into stock, with factory pricing passed to you without hidden margin or profit added on manufacturing.

What does a China sourcing agent do?

A sourcing agent stands between your brand and the factory: it finds manufacturers that can make your product, checks they are fit for the job, gets quotations and follows production through. With Kexlo the sourcing work is done by Kexlo's own team, not outsourced, and your contract for it is with Kexlo.

Because Kexlo also stores and ships, sourcing does not stop at the factory gate. Finished goods are received into inventory and counted by SKU, ready to ship to your customers.

How does sourcing with Kexlo work?

Four steps, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Tell us the product

Send a product idea, a link, a design or a sample, with the quantities and markets you have in mind.

Find, vet and quote

Kexlo finds and vets manufacturers and quotes unit cost, MOQ and lead time in writing.

Samples

Units of your product to check in hand: materials, finish and packaging, before a production run.

Production follow-through

Production directed from the approved quotation to finished goods received into inventory.

How is sourcing priced?

Every quotation states the unit cost, the MOQ and the lead time in writing before you approve anything. Factory pricing is passed to you without hidden margin or profit added on manufacturing.

Minimums depend on the product and the manufacturer, so the MOQ is set out in each quotation rather than fixed in advance.

Can I keep my own manufacturer?

Yes. If you already have a factory you trust, keep it. Kexlo receives, stores and fulfills your stock like any other, and can coordinate your factory if you want. Either way, goods are received into inventory by SKU and fulfilled the same way.

What happens after the first production run?

Restock with MOQ reorders at the quantities you choose, and plan where finished inventory goes before it ships. Sourcing requests, quotations and reorders all live in your dashboard, next to your stock and orders.

Kexlo can also design the product, make your branding and packaging, and register your barcodes and handle FDA and VAT registrations, so the product is ready to list and sell.

How is quality checked when sourcing from China?

Orders are quality-checked before they ship. A lost parcel is reshipped free of charge, automatically. Every package is insured up to US$600 against damage or destruction. Samples let you check materials, finish and packaging in hand before a production run, and a small pilot order shows how the whole process runs on your own product, from the factory to the first parcels your customers receive. A pilot runs on the same process as full volume, so what you see is what you get when you scale.

Questions and answers

Is Kexlo a sourcing agent or a factory?

Kexlo is not a factory. It acts as your sourcing agent: its own team finds, vets and quotes manufacturers and directs production at the factory you approve, from quotation to finished stock.

Can I start with a sample?

Samples and pilot orders are welcome and encouraged, so you can check quality before you scale. Tell us the product and quantities, and Kexlo quotes in writing. Nothing is produced until you approve.

Is there a minimum order?

Minimums depend on the product and the manufacturer. Every quotation states the MOQ, unit cost and lead time, so you know them before you approve anything.

Does Kexlo add a profit on manufacturing?

No. Factory pricing is passed to you without hidden margin or profit added on manufacturing.

How do I request sourcing?
